Ronald S. Jacobson D.D.S., M.S. Dr. Ron officially joined his father, Dr. Bailey, in the practice in 1989, though he spent plenty of time there while he was going to school. As a little boy, he used to sit and watch his Dad prepare lectures on Orthodontics and cleft lip and palate and he made his mind up early to follow in his father's footsteps. Now he's pretty much leading the way.Dr. Ron spent his undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He attended Northwestern University Dental School (Doctor of Dental Surgery) where he finished with a Master of Science in Orthodontics. He taught in Northwestern's graduate Orthodontic Department for 11 years as an associate professor until 2000 when the school unfortunately closed. Dr. Ron thoroughly enjoys his 22 year participation as the orthodontic member of the Craniofacial Team at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago and continues to teach the residents the orthodontic/craniofacial component of the pediatric dental program. He also teaches as a Visiting Associate Professor in the Graduate Orthodontic Department at University of Detroit/ Mercy Dental School. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005. He has published and lectured extensively, especially in the fields of cleft lip and palate, surgical prediction in Orthodontics and practical use of computer technology. He even designed the orthodontic software that we use in the office. Dr. Ron belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the prestigious Edward H. Angle Society. He is a past-president of the North Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society and his is the current 2010 President of the Illinois Society of Orthodontists. An accomplished musician, he plays drums, piano and guitar. In his free time he writes, arranges and records music in his professional recording studio in the basement of his home. His wife, Mary, is an optometrist and together they enjoy travel and sports activities with their very busy children Tyler and Rachel. |
Matthew Israel D.M.D., M.S. Dr. Matt grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and is really excited to be practicing in the city he loves. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences from the University of Michigan, he returned home to complete his Dental education and Orthodontic specialty training at the University of Illinois. Dr. Matt is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and recently became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.Dr. Matt married his Dental School classmate, Dr. Barbara Siargos, who is also an Orthodontist. Together, they live in Skokie with Jack, their Pug/Jack Russell mix. Jack, incidentally, could really use braces! Dr. Matt's interests include talking sports, golfing and hiking. We're delighted to have him with us and we know you'll enjoy working with him. |
Dr. Ray was born in Taiwan and moved to the great Northwest, Seattle, Washington, when he was nine years old. He went to Portland, Oregon to attend Reed College and received his Bachelor of Art in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. After college, he spent three years at University of Washington performing wound-healing research where he has numerous publications. He then attended Tufts University School of Dentistry in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Society. Following dental school, he completed his orthodontic training and earned his Masters of Science and Orthodontics specialty certificate at University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Ray became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2007.Dr. Ray married his dental school sweetheart, Dr. Kelley McClure, who practices general dentistry in Chicago. They now live in the northwest suburbs. When Dr. Tsou is not delivering smiles to patients, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and traveling. His traveling goal is to collect every Hard Rock Café shirt around the world.
